FAQ Matriculation Fee
"What is a matriculation fee?"
Instead of paying separate fees for new student orientation, transcripts, applications for graduation and re-enrollment, students pay a one-time matriculation fee, in lieu of individual fees for specific services.
“Will students pay a matriculation fee again if they move from undergraduate to graduate level studies at Loyola?”
Yes. The undergraduate graduation fee is completely separate from the matriculation fee.
“Will currently enrolled students be assessed the matriculation fee?”
Yes, currently enrolled students will be assessed this one-time fee, in lieu of the previously mentioned individual fees, like student orientation, transcripts, applications for graduation, and re-enrollment.
“What if I already paid a graduation fee but didn’t graduate?”
Continuing students who have already applied for graduation and paid a graduation fee but didn’t graduate as expected are exempt from paying the one-time matriculation fee. However, students who do not graduate as expected but plan to graduate during a future term are still required to complete and submit a new application for graduation to their Dean’s Office.
