Teaching & Training

CUERP integrate Loyola University Chicago's Environmental Studies/Science Program into our innovative infrastructure of research, teaching and training, and outreach. Within the interdisciplinary faculty team, undergraduate and graduate students will receive educational experiences to address today’s pressing urban environmental issues. Combining the classroom, hands-on fieldwork, research projects, community outreach and internships, students will gain the skills necessary to become leaders in environmental research, policy and justice.

Students working in CUERP-related research investigate pharmaceutical impacts on freshwater ecosystems, global process changes on microbial communities and assisting with the collection of data on the relationships between human development and the impact of invasive plant species on lakeshore areas.
