Gifts by Credit Card

Gifts of Securities
The School of Law welcomes gifts of securities. Click here for routing instructions. Please notify Annina Fabbioli, Assistant Dean for Advancement and Alumni Relations at 312.915.7281 to ensure that the gift is properly received and directed to the proper gift destination.

Gifts of securities typically carry benefits not associated with gifts made by check, cash or credit card:

You avoid capital gains tax. Any gain is taxable if you sell stock or mutual fund shares yourself, but not if you transfer ownership to the University.

Your charitable deduction for federal income tax purposes is based on the full, fair market value of shares on the date the gift is made.

You receive credit from Loyola University Chicago for the full fair market value of the shares, but the cost to you is only your original purchase price.

Automatic Bank Withdrawal
A fast, convenient way to support the School of Law is through an automatic bank withdrawal. With your consent, Loyola University Chicago will automatically withdraw an amount specified by you from your bank account.

Loyola will provide you, for tax purposes, with a receipt of your yearly contribution, and your bank statement will serve as the record of each transaction. You may cancel or change your ABW authorization at any time. To begin supporting the law school, simply print, complete, and return this automatic bank withdrawal form.

Payroll Deduction
Loyola University Chicago employees can support the School of Law by having a portion of your gift automatically deducted from each paycheck. To begin supporting the law school, simply print, complete, and return this payroll deduction form.

Many dedicated alumni and friends of the School of Law have discovered the rewards of including Loyola through planned giving options including: bequests, charitable gift annuities, charitable lead trusts, charitable remainder trusts, and gifts of property.
