QUESTION: What should I do if I have
forgotten my GroupWise password?
ANSWER:
There are two options for Law students who have forgotten
their
GroupWise passwords. If you are on the Water Tower Campus,
see
the computer lab advisor on duty. The computer lab advisor’s
desk
is located in the Law School Computer Center on the 4th floor of the
Law Library right outside of Room 403. If there is no lab
advisor
on duty and Room 403, the Law School Computing Services Office, is
open, anyone on our staff can assist you in resetting your
password. You will need to present your Loyola ID in order to
complete this request.
If you are not on the Water Tower Campus, you
can call the University Help Desk at x-44444 from any Loyola University
Chicago phone line or 773.508.7190 from an off-campus line.
The
University Help Desk should be able to assist you with resetting your
password over the phone. Back

QUESTION: I
would like to log in to one of the on-campus computers, and I am typing
the correct user ID and password. Why is the computer not
letting
me log in?
ANSWER: You are most likely logging in
under an incorrect context. Law students log in under the
context
STUDENT.LAW.LOYOLA. In order to check or adjust the context,
first click Advanced in the bottom right corner of the login
screen. Then, select the correct context from the Context
dropdown list. If STUDENT.LAW.LOYOLA is not one of the
choices in
the dropdown menu, click the Context button to the right of the
dropdown list. On the screen that appears double-click on LAW
and
select STUDENT. Then click OK. Hopefully you will
be able
to successfully log in. If you are still unable to log in,
there
may be an issue specific to your login. It would be best to
contact the computer lab advisor on duty, our office, or the University
HelpDesk. Back

When LexisNexis and Westlaw representatives are on duty, they
sit
in Room 404 Computer Lab II which is the larger of the 2 computer labs

QUESTION: What
are the hours for the computer labs?
ANSWER:
The Law School Computer Center’s computer labs are open for
use
whenever the Law Library is open and whenever there is not a class in
session. Both labs will never be reserved for classes at the
same
time. There are also MARC terminals located on the 3rd floor
between the Circulation and Reference Desks and on the 4th and 5th
floors near the stairs. Refer to the Lab Closings calendar
posted
near the door of each computer lab, above the Network Printers, and in
the 4th floor elevator lobby for this month’s computer lab closings. Back to top
