What is ArtSmart?ArtSmart at LUMA is designed for young professionals, generally under the age of 45, of the Chicago metropolitan area that focuses on fun networking; educational and philanthropic events with the goal of shaping the next generation of leaders. ArtSmart, an auxiliary group for LUMA patrons, coordinates art-centered social events and programs for its members and community-at-large. In addition to enjoying the benefits of a paid LUMA membership, ArtSmart members enjoy a dazzling calendar, behind-the-scenes and curatorial tours, and invitations to special openings and events at LUMA, tailored for the ArtSmart program at preferred rates. An integral part of LUMA and its permanence in the community, ArtSmart members actively support the Museum’s programs and services through their paid membership, gifts, and volunteers. ArtSmart regards support for LUMA’s push-pin gallery and the City of Chicago’s children a priority. Proceeds from selected ArtSmart events are used to offset transportation costs for economically disadvantaged schools to bring inner-city children to LUMA, and enable them to experience art illuminating the spirit. So, who belongs to ArtSmart? ArtSmart members are a diverse group who come from different cultural backgrounds and professions. They share a common bond in their interest and dedication in art, in the community, and dedication to Loyola University Museum of Art.
