Pastoral Leadership Theology Minor

The Theology Minor in Pastoral Leadership provides students with academic opportunities to explore and deepen a student’s knowledge and skills for contemporary pastoral leadership. This minor is offered in collaboration with the Theology Department and Ministry.  

6 Required Courses
____1. 100-level course in Christian Doctrine
____2. 100-level course in Biblical Studies
____3. 100-level course in Ethics
____4. 300-level elective related to Pastoral Service
____5. Theo 348: Supervised Ministry
____6. Theo 347: Creative Ministry

The Minor in Pastoral Studies requires six courses. Students must take three courses at the 100 level – specifically a course in Christian doctrine, a biblical course and an ethics course.  The remaining three courses are at the 300 level. One 300-level course is an elective related to the student’s area of pastoral service. The second course is Theo 348: Supervised Ministry, an internship in an area of pastoral service, and the third is Theo 347: Creative Ministry, a capstone course integrating one’s service and theology.
