Offered in conjunction with the Erikson Institute, a premier school in the area of child development, this dual degree program provides students with a deep understanding of the developing child combined with the expertise in providing clinical services to children and families in a variety of settings.

Application Information
This dual degree program begins every July in the Summer II term. Applicants for the dual M.S.W./M.S. in Child Development degree should apply separately for admission to both the School of Social Work and to the Erikson Institute, indicating their intent to pursue a dual degree.
Degree Requirements
The MSW program requires completion of 60 credit hours which includes two internships. The 1st internship is 480 hours and the 2nd internship is 720 hours for a total of 1200 internship hours.
Curriculum
The MSW program is broken down into foundation level classes and advanced practice classes. Foundation level courses are required by everyone. Advanced Practice classes are taken according to specialization area and electives.
