About
The Social Work Doctoral program, established in 1986, extends the tradition of educating students skilled in clinical research, scholarship, and teaching with the Jesuit ideals of service to others and commitment to social justice as its foundation. The PhD program prepares students for leadership roles in diverse practice and academic arenas.
Length of Program
Full Time - 2 years of course work + dissertation
Application Information
The PhD program begins in late August as a cohort model. Applications are due by January 1st of the year you are applying for.
Degree Requirements
Curriculum
Students take 49 Post MSW credits over a two year period. Classes are held on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings.
