Provide quality recreational, social, and cultural programming for all students in accordance with their expressed wishes, interests, and needs. In addition, our members will develop useful leadership and programming skills.

Coffee House

Director: Laura Lerer

  • Host small, intimate coffeehouse-like events where students are invited to showcase any talents they possess.
  • Most coffeehouses take place in Zips in CFSU.
  • Past coffeehouses included: Disney Karaoke, open mic night, Hillel Coffeehouse, and Turkish Coffeehouse

Large Events

Director: Kristin Trehearne

  • Design and plan large scale events to suit the interests of the entire campus
  • Events usually include some or all of the following: inflatable activities and obstacles, caricaturists, talent shows, carnival games and food, mechanical bull, etc.
  • Previous events include: All-Niter during Spirit Week, the annual Bash on the last day of school, Hunger Week Talent Show, and Halloween party in CFSU
  • UPCOMING EVENT: HALLOWEEN TRICK-OR-TREAT (October 31st from 5-7pm in Dumbach Hall)

Concerts

Director: Mark Wilkerson

  • Plans and coordinates a fall and spring concert as well as a battle of the bands event in the spring
  • Past concerts include: Third Eye Blind, Black Eyed Peas, Michelle Branch, Guster, Plain White T’s, Cartel and Carbonleaf, Cake, Virgin Mega College Tour, Talib Kweli

Chicago Events

Director: Nicole Krejcarek

  • Plan various events within the city of Chicago as well as provide affordable tickets to see Broadway shows and sporting events
  • Previous events include: Sur La Table cooking classes, Bulls game, outings to see
    Wicked and Jersey Boys

Union Events

Director: Kristen Thometz

  • Host smaller scale events that typically involve crafts inside the student unions.
  • Most of these events take place in the afternoon around lunch hours.
  • Previous events include: Stuff-It (Build-a-Bear type workshop), Picture frame decorating, Loyola Idol, ornament decorating

OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES

    Director: Zach Dowd

  • Plans and organizes activities taking place outside. Events like camping, biking, rock climbing, etc.
