Frequently Asked Questions
Can I register as an individual?
Yes! No do not have to participate with a team. Please return to the homepage and you can register online or by submitting a paper registration form with payment.
What if I want to register a group?
Please see our "Register a Group" Page.
What is the course?
The course will be a scenic walk though the Edgewater, Rogers Park neighborhood then enter the lakefront path for a beautiful view of Lake Michigan.
My organization would like to volunteer?
That's great! The Loyola AIDS Walk committee welcomes any and all volunteers! Please contact April Boulter at aboulte@luc.edu for more information.
Where should I park?
There will be parking available in the parking structure. Participants can enter campus by turning north on Kenmore Ave. The parking structure is off Kenmore.
What is the included in the walk registration?
The first 700 paid participants will receive a Loyola AIDS Walk t-shirt, event day breakfast and lunch as well as be able to enjoy the activities of the day including bands, inflatable games and local vendors.
What is the 'costume contest'?
Awards will be given to the team that has the best group costume. If are part of a group, we encourage
What other awards will be given?
There will be an award given for the largest registered team.
Is this the same as Chicago AIDS Run/Walk?
This is a completely separate event. The Chicago AIDS Run/Walk will be held in October.
Where do I go on the day of the walk?
Registration and walk kick-off will all happen on Halas Field located off of Kenmore Avenue. If there is inclement weather, registration and post-walk activities will take place in the Gentile Center.
Can I walk with a stroller?
Yes! Parents are welcome to push children in strollers along the course.
