Baumhart Hall                  Students moving into Baumhart Hall at the Water Tower Campus

One of several new and renovated facilities at Loyola's Water Tower Campus, this new structure enables its student residents to experience contemporary living in fully furnished apartments with spectacular city views. In addition, these students enjoy the convenience of living in the heart of the city at Pearson and Wabash, just two blocks west of Chicago's Magnificent Mile, and mere steps from CTA bus and "L" stops. Says Baumhart Hall resident manager and CAS junior, David Cembala, "I love the convenience of living in the Gold Coast at an affordable price, and having my classes just across the street. It truly is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity."

The Terry Student Center fills the first three floors of the residence hall and boasts flat-screen televisions, pool and ping-pong tables, study rooms, a business center, and a coffee shop. John and Terese Terry donated $5 million to put their name on the new student center, having met more than 45 years ago in a student lounge at Loyola.

The building's impressive amenities and features include a 24-hour security staff, a food court and late-night cafe, a state-of-the-art fitness center, wireless access in apartment bedrooms and public areas, and a University chapel. With 168 units, 627 beds, and 333 bathrooms, Baumhart Hall has quickly become one of the most coveted of all Loyola residence halls.
