Rome Summer Course

Take Intro to Cultural Anthropology (Anth 102) in Italy!

Loyola's John Felice Rome Center

June 29-July 24, 2015

Interested in studying in Rome during the 2nd summer session and simultaneously satisfying Loyola’s Tier 2 Societal & Cultural Knowledge requirement?

This summer we offer a unique opportunity to take Introduction to Cultural Anthropology at the Loyola University John Felice Rome campus. Dr. Kathleen Adams will teach the one month (6 sessions) class. The class will draw heavily from the backdrop of Rome: one session will entail on-site visits to major Roman destinations, and you will have a chance to do your own fieldwork in Rome. Themes in the class include examining what it means to be a cultural being; gender, ethnic and national identities; cross-cultural encounters; migration; religion and belief systems; migration; culture and the arts, and a host of other topics.

This is a unique opportunity—as best we know, this class has never been offered during the summer in Rome.
