Submitting Your Resume to BCC Online

In order to have your resume approved for the BCC Online, all SBA and GSB students/alumni have the following options:

1. If you choose to select "yes" on your BCC Profile within your privacy tab next to the option that says, "Submit to Resume Books", you must submit a resume with the following criteria:

  • A resume labeled YourName_DefaultResume (ex: JohnSmith_DefaultResume).
  • An objective section on your resume, which includes the preferred job types in your Academic Information tab of your BCC Online profile. This preferred job types section should be as narrow and focused as possible; please consider only selecting a few in this section. You may select many preferred industries as possible to maximize your resume's exposure to prospective employers a part of the resume referral program.
--> Objective example:  "Seeking an internship opportunity in Account Management / Planning, Advertising, or Marketing"

2. You have the option to opt out of this requirement by selecting "no" on your BCC Online Profile that states "Submit to Resume Books".  Please contact the Business Career Center to inform your Career Advisor of your choice if you select this option.

Please note that your Career Advisor may contact you if your submitted resume is found to have grammatical errors or typos or is outside of the criteria suggested by recruiters.  You also have the option of requesting a resume critique by sending your resume to businesscareers@luc.edu.

The Business Career Center highly recommends that you also maintain your own individual resume and provide it to potential employers in an interviewing situation.  You may upload an unlimited number of individually-styled resumes to submit to employment opportunities via BCC Online whether you allow your resume to be searchable or not by employers.

Feel free to visit the BCC’s Resumes Resources for more information on how to create a personalized and tailored resume.
