STEP: Biodiesel is a dynamic class experience that is unique at Loyola.  In order to capture the spirit of the course, the communication group created mini-documentaries that highlight major themes throughout the STEP class and LUC's green initiative. 

22 students from a myriad of different academic backgrounds have come together to learn about and act on the carbon-emission problem at Loyola University Chicago.

"One Stop Location"

Shane Lishawa, STEP Biodiesel Lab Manager, describes the chaos of creating a biodiesel lab and the challenges of producing biodiesel at a university.
"Clean Living" 
Fr. Michael Garanzini, SJ, President of Loyola University Chicago, illustrates how Loyola University is the "perfect size" to educate students in order to affect environmental change in all facets of society.

"Integrating Education"

From gathering waste vegetable oil from the cafeterias to testing the particulate emissions of the biodiesel, students have lead the way making STEP:Biodiesel a successful new course at Loyola University.

"Smells Like Biodiesel"

 TJ Berden produced the films and Matt Kordonowy scored original music.
