Blackboard Workshops
Blackboard Quickstart Workshops are offered in August and in January, during the week before classes begin. They are designed to help those who are unfamiliar with Blackboard to learn the basic layout and navigation system, and to add and organize content in their own courses. Please check back for upcoming workshops.
Blackboard Drop-in
Faculty can receive individualized support from ITS educational technologists during Blackboard Drop-in. These sessions are designed to be brief, providing an opportunity for faculty to receive one-on-one help with Blackboard questions.
There are special sessions for using Blackboard’s Grade Center and general sessions that may cover topics such as backing up course materials, using the Assignment Tool, working with multimedia and linking to online resources from Blackboard.
Online tutorials in both text and video format in the Help Resources section of the Blackboard website cover the most important aspects of using Blackboard for both faculty and students.
Technology Clinics
Technology Clinics provide an opportunity for faculty to receive one-on-one help from ITS educational technologists with integrating technology into the classroom. Areas covered in addition to Blackboard are digital multimedia and Microsoft PowerPoint. Clinics are by appointment only.
