First Year Memory:
I remember my first semester at college and having no idea what to make of the entire situation. I declared a major I was only half-heartedly interested in, I had no idea of what I wanted to do in my free time, and had only my roommate and his soccer teammates as "friends". My first semester was a time of following the crowd and going through the motions. I remember coming home for the Christmas holiday and realizing that I wasn't who I wanted to be. My second semester I started looking for clubs and activities I was interested in, and finding whole new groups of friends and interests that lead me to finding my niche, changing my major, and finding a career. At the end of my freshman year I remember standing outside with a friend during finals week and remarking on how we loved college. As I look back I realize how it foreshadowed my life as I'm still at college and loving it.
Originally from Manteno, IL, Ed graduated from Benedictine University in Lisle IL in 2002 with his BA in psychology. He continued on at Benedictine to receive his M.S. in Clinical Psychology. During this time he worked as a Hall Coordinator in Residence Life as well as working at a counseling agency doing individual and group counseling for a variety of populations from young children to adults and couples. After grad school Ed worked in residence life at Marquette University and Elmhurst College. In his spare time you may find him singing at a local karaoke club, doing martial arts, or just relaxing. He is excited to be working again in a Jesuit institution, and having the chance to help students navigate their college experience.
