Meal Plans for Resident Students
The Campus Card Office works in conjunction with the Department of Residence Life and Dining Services to provide meal plans for those students living in residence halls. When a student signs a housing contract, he/she selects a meal plan. Students can use the meal plan at any on-campus Dining Services location.
When selecting a meal plan, students should consider the lowest meal plan option available to them. Students have until the end of the first week of classes to submit a Meal Plan Change Request Form.
Flex Dollar and Declining Balance funds carry over from semester to semester, but not academic year to academic year. All meal plan funds are removed annually in May.
Door rates per meal: Breakfast $6.75, Lunch $8.25, Dinner $9.00.
Students should choose the meal plan that best fits their lifestyle from the following list of meal plans and rates for the 2013-2014 academic year:
All-Access Plans
5-Day-All-Access Plan:
- Allows unlimited number of meal swipes daily Monday-Friday, in 30-minute increments.
- Access only applies to days on the pre-determined schedule of Boards Days each semester.
- Flex Dollars are usable at any time in any on-campus dining location, including the Food Court, Coffee Shops/Cafes, Residential Dining Halls and Convenience Store.
The 5-Day-All-Access Plan #1 ($2,275/semester) Access Monday-Friday + $250 Flex Dollars
The 5-Day-All-Access Plan #2 ($2,325/semester) Access Monday-Friday + $300 Flex Dollars
The 5-Day-All-Access Plan #3 ($2,375/semester) Access Monday-Friday + $350 Flex Dollars
7-Day-All-Access Plan:
- Allows unlimited number of meal swipes daily Monday-Sunday, in 30-minute increments.
- Access only applies to days on the pre-determined schedule of Boards Days each semester.

The 7-Day-All-Access Plan #1 ($2,295/semester) Access Monday-Sunday + $100 Flex Dollars
The 7-Day-All-Access Plan #2 ($2,345/semester) Access Monday-Sunday + $150 Flex Dollars
The 7-Day-All-Access Plan #3 ($2,395/semester) Access Monday-Sunday + $200 Flex Dollars
Board Plans
- Available to Sophomore, Junior, Senior and Graduate Residents.
- Meals only apply to days on the pre-determined schedule of Boards Days each semester.
- Meals can be used at Residential Dining Halls only (i.e., Simpson Dining and Damen Dining).
- Meal allowance gives a student the opportunity to enjoy all-you-care-to-eat meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner (brunch & dinner on weekends) in the specified dining locations.
- Each student receives a number of guaranteed meals per week each semester, based on the selected plan.
- Each time a student eats in a specified dining hall, one meal is subtracted from his/her weekly meal balance.
- Meal Plan Week starts on Monday and goes through Sunday.
- Meals not used do not carry over from week to week.
- Board plans offer Flex Dollars which provide students the ability to make purchases at any dining location.
- Flex Dollars carry over from semester to semester, but not academic year to academic year.
The Gold ($2,115/semester) 14 meals per week + $200 Flex Dollars
Designed for those who are likely to eat only 14 traditional meals per week.
The Silver ($1,745/semester) 10 meals/week plus $250 Flex Dollars
Designed for those who will use the dining facilities casually throughout the week, for no more than 10 meals.
Declining Balance Plans
- Available for Junior, Senior and Graduate Residents
- Declining balance meal plans can be used at any of the on-campus dining locations.
- Funds carry over from semester to semester, but not academic year to academic year.
The 1600 ($1,600/semester)
Designed for students who rely on the dining facilities as their primary source of dining throughout the semester.
The 1345 ($1,345/semester)
Designed for students who are likely to eat at the dining facilities on a regular basis, but not exclusively.
The 720 ($720/semester)
Designed for students who would like to eat at the dining facilities on occasion, but will primarily rely on outside meals.
