Non-Resident Meal Plans

The Campus Card Office works in conjunction with Dining Services to offer Non-Resident students their choice of meal plan, and have the cost of the plan charged to their student account. Interested students must submit a Non-Resident Meal Plan Request form each semester.  

Students should choose the meal plan that best fits his/her lifestyle from the following list of meal plans and rates for the 2011-2012 academic year:

Board Plans

Please note: board meal plans can only be used at Lakeshore Dining, Simpson Dining, and Terry Food Court upon request.

The Platinum ($1990/semester)
19 meals/week plus $200 Flex Dollars
Designed for those who like three meals a day, this plan provides the student with all 19 meals offered: breakfast, lunch and dinner Monday - Friday, brunch and dinner on weekends. In addition, the plan is supplemented with $200 in Flex Dollars per semester. This plan is available to all students.

The Gold ($1930/semester)
14 meals/week plus $200 Flex Dollars
Designed for those who are more likely to eat only 2 traditional meals per day, totaling 14 meals per week. The plan is supplemented with $200 in Flex Dollars per semester. This plan is available to all students.

The Silver ($1600/semester)
10 meals/week plus $250 Flex Dollars
Designed for those who will use the dining facilities casually throughout the week, for no more than 10 meals. Additionally, this plan includes $200 in Flex Dollars per semester. This plan is available only to sophomores, juniors, or senior residents, and all non-residents.

The meal allowance gives a student the opportunity to enjoy all-you-care-to-eat dining for breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the specified dining locations. Each student receives the specified number of guaranteed meals per week each semester, based on the plan selected. Each time a student eats in a specified dining room, one meal is subtracted from his/her weekly meal balance.

The Meal Plan Week starts on Monday and ends on Sunday. Meals that are not used do not carry over from week to week.

Flex Dollars: All of the board dining plans offer Flex Dollars which provide students with the ability to make purchases from any Loyola University Chicago dining facilities. Flex Dollars carry over from semester to semester, but not academic year to academic year.

Declining Balance Meal Plans

Declining balance meal plans can be used at any of the dining facilities on campus. Declining balance meal plans carry over from semester to semester, but not academic year to academic year.

The 1450 ($1450/semester)
Designed for students who rely on the dining facilities as their primary source of dining throughout the semester. This plan is available to sophomores, juniors, or senior residents, and all non-residents.

The 1220 ($1220/semester)
Designed for students who are likely to eat at the dining facilities on a regular basis, but not exclusively. This plan is available only to sophomores, juniors or senior residents, and all non-residents.

The 650 ($650/semester)
Designed for students who would like to eat at the dining facilities on occasion, but will primarily rely on outside meals. This plan is available only to sophomores, juniors or senior residents, and all non-residents.

Meal Block Plans

40 Meal Block Plan ($260/semester)
Designed for commuter students who plan to frequent the dining facilities more than twice a week. This plan provides 40 meals that can be used for any meal available at Lakeshore Dining, Simpson Dining or Terry Food Court. This plan is available to non-resident students and faculty/staff. 

30 Meal Block Plan ($200/semester)
Designed for commuter students who plan to dine on-campus one to two times weekly. This plan provides 30 meals that can be used for any meal available at Lakeshore Dining, Simpson Dining or Terry Food Court. This plan is available to non-resident students and faculty/staff.

25 Meal Block! ($125/semester)
Designed for commuter students who plan to dine on-campus from time to time.This plan provides 25 meals that can be used for any meal at Lakeshore Dining, Simpson Dining or Terry Food Court. This plan is available to non-resident students and faculty/staff.

Remaining meals on the Meal Block Plans are removed at the end of the academic year.
