November 12th-14th is the Ignatian Family Teach-In for Justice (IFTJ), an annual gathering for Jesuit schools to come together to learn more about social justice, reflect, pray, network, and advocate together. It is a place where people are empowered, re-energized, inspired, challenged, and supported by a community that sees faith and justice integrally linked.
After two days of learning about justice issues the over 1,000 IFTJ participants will head to Capitol Hill to share stories, facts, and asks for more just policies with their elected officials. Advocacy efforts will focus on Immigration Reform and Criminal Justice Reform.
Loyola will be sending 15 students to represent them.
Applications are due September 29th, 2016 and the cost is $150, which covers flight, lodging and registration.
