First-Year Commuter Experience 2013

Dates: 8/19-8/22/2013

Cost: $125.00 (financial assistance available)

Sponsored by: Off-Campus Life

Description: The First-Year Commuter Retreat is open to 20 incoming commuter students who are interested in connecting with their peers and creating a sense of community on campus. While at Loyola's Retreat and Ecology Center (LUREC), you will have the opportunity to engage in ropes courses with new friends, acquire tips about college life from upper-class commuter leaders, take time for personal reflection, and create networks. This retreat is a great community building experience that continues with programs throughout the academic year. All we need to know is, are you in?

*Only students residing off-campus may attend

Testimonials:

"I liked getting to know other people in the same boat as me and being able to talk with the upper-class student leaders that have already been through the system and know the tough points and how to get around them."

"This retreat made me feel a lot more comfortable about being a commuter student and I would definitely recommend it."
