Busy Student Retreat
Dates: April 6 – 10, 2014
“The spiritual life does not remove us from the world, but leads us deeper into it.” – Henri J.M. Nouwen
Do you desire to deepen your spiritual life in the midst of your daily life? Are you interested in going on a retreat, but too busy with classes and/or internships to make it out to LUREC? The Busy Student Retreat is meant for busy students to engage the spiritual life in a special way, no matter how busy they are!
Beginning on Sunday with the 5:00 p.m. Mass at Madonna della Strada, an introductory session and dinner at 6:00 p.m., the retreat takes place in the midst of your life on campus until the closing prayer session and dinner on Thursday evening. In addition to committing to 30 minutes of personal prayer each day, every student will meet daily with a spiritual director, whose meeting times will be tailored to his/her busy schedule. In other words, the student has the freedom to truly personalize this retreat in the midst of the demands of everyday living.
Cost: FREE for Loyola students (undergraduate and graduate students welcome)
