Acuatic Opportunities
Summer 2012
All registration takes place in person at the Main Customer Service Desk at the Halas Sports Center on Loyola’s Lake Shore Campus. Registration deadline is 4 days prior to a class starting. All classes/stroke clinics not meeting minimum registration requirement 4 days prior to the class starting will be cancelled. Lessons, Assessments and Swim Passes cannot be refunded, transferred between parties or cancelled. Lessons, Assessments, and Swim Passes can not be refunded, cancelled, or transfered between parties.
Currently taking swimming lessons and not a member of the Halas Sports Center and would like some extra time to practice your skills you learned in lessons? Here is your chance!! You can purchase a swim pass for $25 per session or $50 for the entire summer if you are taking multiple sessions of youth or adult group or private lessons. Session dates are as follows:
May 20 - June 30 | $25
July 1 - August 12 | $25
May 20 - August 12 | $50
Times to come in and practice are Fridays between 5:30 – 8 pm and Saturdays and Sundays between Noon – 3 pm. The swim pass is good for up to five people living under at the same address. Swim passes can be purchased at the Main Customer Service Desk at the Halas Center during anytime that the building is open.
This assessment is designed to evaluate participant’s skills to ensure that they are ready to take the Lifeguard Class. The assessment will take 15-30 minutes depending on ability of the participant. Once the assessment is complete, the instructor will give participants a recommendation for class enrollment. The cost is $15. To sign up for a Lifeguard Pre-Test, please go to the Halas Sports Center front desk and purchase the assessment. The Aquatics Coordinator will contact you to set up a time for the assessment.

Thursday, July 12 6:30 – 7:30 pm Turns
Thursday, August 9 6:30 – 7:30 pm Breaststroke
Registration for all stroke Clinics takes place at the main customer service desk at the Halas Sports Center anytime that the building is open.

This assessment is designed to evaluate participant’s skills. The assessment will take 15-30 minutes depending on ability and comfort level with the water. Once the assessment is complete, the instructor will give participants a recommendation for class enrollment. The cost is $15. To sign up for an Aquatic Assessment, please go to the Halas Sports Center front desk and purchase the assessment. The Aquatic Coordinator will contact you to set up the assessment.
Registration must be paid for IN PERSON at the Halas Sports Center.
NO REFUNDS or make up lessons will be given for missed lessons.
Lessons can not be rescheduled or transfered.
