Resume Referral: Web Resume Books
Resume referral is managed through resume books in the RamblerLink system. Students and alumni seeking internships or jobs log into RamblerLink, select Profile and then the Privacy tab and check "yes" to "Include in Resume books." This will automatically include you in all filtered resume books based on your major, grad date and other academic criteria. You may also chose to include your resume in "Opt In" resume books found in the Documents section of your RamblerLink account.
Employers may search the Web resume books for potential candidates and will make direct contact with the individuals whom they choose to interview. Career Development Center staff may perform a search of a Web resume book on behalf of an employer and refer the resulting student/alumni resumes to the employer.
In either case, keep in mind that employers set their own policies and procedures to manage their hiring processes. While the Career Development Center encourages open and timely communication, it has no control over or responsibility for employers' recruitment policies and procedures.
Any resume published to an opt-in or filtered resume book may be viewed by any employer registered with the Career Development Center. When you are no longer hunting for a job or internship, remove your resume from all Web resume books to which it was posted and change your "Include in resume books" in your Privacy settings to "no."
