Career & Life Planning Lab (CPSY 224)
CPSY is a two-credit-hour course that teaches you a process that can be applied to making career-related decisions throughout your life. As a participant in this class, you will:
- Complete a battery of self-assessment inventories that help clarify your interests, values, skills and personality traits
- Conduct an in-depth investigation of an occupation
- Develop a resume and cover letter
- Develop a plan of action to integrate information gathered about the world of work with your self-assessment results
Topics to be covered include:
- Self-assessment of interest, values and skills
- The lifelong nature of career planning
- Informational interviewing and networking
- Writing resumes and other job search correspondences
- Planning an effective job search campaign

- Newly Revised Strong Inventory Report
- MBTI Step 1 (Form M)
