Conversion of Existing PhD Credential Files
As of July 1, 2007 we will no longer manage or send out paper credential files and will offer our credential services only through Interfolio.
All students and alumni who have an old paper credential file with the Career Development Center may choose one of two options for their file:
Option 1 Transfer the contents of your credential file to Interfolio.
- Create a new Interfolio account.
- Upon your written request, the Career Development Center will ship the contents of your paper credential file to Interfolio for conversion to your new Interfolio account.
Option 2 – Close your Loyola Career Development Center confidential credential file.
- If your credential file is confidential (non-viewable), all contents will be shredded.
- If your file is not confidential, you may request to have the file, or any non-confidential documents, mailed or picked up by you.
Contact our office at msmith@luc.edu or 773-508-2878 for a file transfer form. After July 9, 2007, we will continue to store the paper file in our office for five years. If you wish to activate your file during that period, you will need to contact us to ship it to Interfolio. After the five-year period date, all archived paper files will be destroyed.
