Job Search Preparation
- Designing Your Job Search
- Job Search Counseling
Job search counseling is available to all students and alumni seeking guidance in creating career plans and strategies or resolving career issues such as resume writing help and critique, job search correspondence, networking, finding jobs in your desired type or industry, using eRecruiting job search system effectively and many others.
Walk-ins are brief meetings with advisors (lasting approximately 15 minutes) in which concerns are addressed and helpful resources are identified. We recommend starting with a walk-in session to assess your needs and then follow-up with a scheduled appointment, if necessary. Walk-ins are also perfect for a resume or cover letter critique, quick questions about an upcoming interview, or how to follow up your applications. Visit Hours & Locations for Walk-In hours and contact information. - Job Search Workshops
Workshops offered through the Career Development Center will help you develop or perfect skills that you will use throughout the job search. We offer short, focused workshops throughout the year on various topics including: Resume Writing, Cover Letter Writing, Job Search Strategies, Effective Interviewing, Salary Negotiation, and Effective Networking. Please visit the eRecruiting calendar for workshop and event dates.
