Internship Credit
Internship Courses & Student Employment
Since the 2011-2012 Academic Year, students with qualified Student Employment positions, either on-campus or in Community Work-Study, may be eligible to enroll in UNIV 390: Internship Seminar in Organizational & Community Leadership. This course fufills the University's "Engaged Learning" requirement.
The course covers the following topics from the perspective of the student intern/employee:
- Leadership
- Asset-based Community Development
- Organizational Change
- Career Development

- Position Review: Have your position reviewed to see if it qualifies. During the term BEFORE the next academic term, contact either Kathryn Jackson in the CDC or Michelle Kusel in the Center for Experiential Learning for this review.
- Enroll: If your position is approved, request permision to enroll from the course instructor.
- Prepare for Class: Follow the instructor's guidelines for pre-term preparation.
