In November, philosophy professor and director of the Bioethics Interdisciplinary Program, Jennifer Parks, along with co-coach Bryan Kibble (doctoral student in Philosophy), led two teams of students to winning performances at the Midwest Regional Ethics Bowl. Of 17 teams, Loyola came in second and third place. This achievement allows Loyola’s team a spot at the National Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl, scheduled February 28-March 3, at the annual conference for the Association of Practical and Professional Ethics. The team includes Loyola students Justin Baker, Monica Finke, Mike Frantl, Paul Kubicki, Sumaya Noush, Katherine Reese, Patrick Shino, and Noah Whitney. Congratulations and good luck to the team and thanks to Professor Parks and Bryan Kibbe for their stellar leadership and for coaching their students to secure a spot at the national competition.
