October 2003, Hosted in School District 105 - Dr. Nobutaka Matsumura, Kansai University. Dr. Matsumura was on a Fulbright Fellowship studying talent development in the U.S. He spent a full week in District 105, observing the Gifted & Talented Program. Dr. Matsumura is a leading research in talent development in Japan, and has translated into Japanese the following: Intelligence Reframed - Multiple Intelligences for the 21st Century by Howard Gardner, as well as books by Robert Sternberg and Joseph Renzulli. Dr. Matsumura has also written the first book in Japanese about gifted education, Education of the Gifted and Talented in the United States.
