Research Associate / Summer Course Academic Director Centre for Refugee Studies May, 2004 - Present, York University, Toronto, Ontario. Serve as Research Associate for immigrant and refugee education project; develop immigrant and refugee education research initiative involving university, school and community agency alliance; conceptualize program, build network, write grant proposals. Serve as Academic Director for Summer Course on Refugee Issues; develop course curriculum, identify and recruit course faculty. Develop and coordinate simulated refugee hearings. Provide supervision to Administrative Coordinator. Oversee development activities; pursue external funding, write grant proposals.
