Dr. Mark McIntosh explores the influence of Catholicism on Tolkien’s thought and writing. Dr. McIntosh explores many of Tolkien's writings, including the short story “Leaf by Niggle.”
Dr. McIntosh is a Professor of Theology at Loyola University of Chicago, with a specialty in Systematic Theology and Spirituality. He also serves as a theological consultant to the Theology Committee of the House of Bishops of the Episcopal Church and is currently a chaplain to the House of Bishops.
