The 2014 Teilhard de Chardin, S.J. Fellow: George Drance, S.J.

2014 Teilhard de Chardin SJ Fellow

The Hank Center is pleased to announce that George Drance, S.J. (Theatre Department, Fordham University) will be joining us for the fall of 2014 as the inaugural holder of the Teilhard de Chardin, S.J. Fellowship.

The Teilhard de Chardin, S.J. Fellowship in Catholic Studies is a visiting fellowship for invited scholars from across the disciplines and from around the world whose work intersects with the rich intellectual, artistic, and historical tradition of Roman Catholicism.

As the Teilhard de Chardin, S.J. Fellow, Fr. Drance will be offering two lectures and a course in fall 2014. Fr. Drance's course - The Catholic Theatrical Imagination (THTR395/CATH395) - is open to all interested students, and is cross-listed in both the Theatre Department and the Catholic Studies Minor.

More information on Fr. Drance's lectures will be forthcoming.

We are very excited to have Fr. Drance joining us in the fall, and look forward to both the intellectual and artistic contributions he will make to the Catholic intellectual heritage here at Loyola University Chicago.
