Support Groups

If you've experienced sexual violence, you're not alone.  These support groups, will allow college age survivors of sexual violence to connect with others in a supportive and caring environment.  

  • Group for College Students who are Survivors of Sexual Violence

This is a psychoeducational group for women survivors of childhood and/or adult sexual abuse/assault. The goal of the group is to help survivors connect with other survivors and understand the impact of sexual abuse/assault.  This group will run for 8 weeks at the YWCA Metropolitan Chicago, RISE Center, 820 W. Jackson, Suite 550, Chicago, IL. If you are interested in any of these support groups, please contact Cynthia Cruz, Counselor, at 773-862-3100, x2013 to schedule an intake appointment.

  • Survivors of Sexual Violence Support Group: Coping through Creativity

This is a support group during which survivors will learn creative ways of coping and expression. No art experience needed.

  • Unhealthy Relationships: Women’s Support Group-group held on campus

Loyola University students who have experienced unhealthy or abusive relationships are encouraged to join. Join to learn about unhealthy relationships, to be part of a supportive atmosphere and to connect with others who can relate to you.

  •  You're Not Alone: Support Group for Survivors of Sexual Assault and Abuse

You're Not Alone is a support group for Chicago College & Graduate Students to be held Rape Victim Advocates' central office at 180 N.
