CHAPTER Scholars & Professional Practice Cohort Award Ceremony

A semi-annual award ceremony honoring School of Education (SOE) CHAPTER scholars and Professional Practice Cohort members recognizes the students who have made a commitment to enhance educational opportunities for today's youth by teaching in high-need schools upon graduation.

Professional Development Programs

Professional Development Programs are a vehicle for the CHAPTER scholars and Professional Practice Cohort members to gain a better understanding of the teaching profession, to increase their knowledge, and to develop as leaders. CHAPTER Scholars will attend a minimum of three Professional Development Programs. Students will learn from a variety of educational experts and will receive books to aid in the development of their own professional libraries.

Saturday Seminars support the professional community of novice, experienced and mentor teachers created through the E-mentoring project. Seminars are offered in a variety of professional development areas.
