June 2012 Testified before to UN Committee on the Rights of the Child, Geneva, Switzerland, Alternative Report to the Periodic Report of the United States government to the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child Concerning the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) on the Sale of Children, Prostitution, and Pornography, emphasizing sale of children for labor/labor trafficking in the United States
2011 Provided comments and legislative briefing supporting H.R. 2730 - Strengthening the Child Welfare Response to Human Trafficking Act, Introduced in House of Representatives in 2011.

March 2007

U.S. Judiciary Committee, Subcommittee on Human Rights, presided by Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL), provided testimony on recommended legal protections for victims of human trafficking, focusing on children.

2007 Cook County Women’s Board, provided testimony at hearing on ways Cook County can address human trafficking issues
2007 Consultant/Advisor, Steptoe & Johnson, LLC, Action for Children of Trafficking Project; advised on legislative strategy and implementation issues of legislation and policy affecting human rights of unaccompanied immigrant children and child trafficking victims
2005 In recognition of advocacy on behalf of child trafficking victims in the US, invited to signing ceremony of Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act 2005, White House, Washington DC
2005 Helped draft Illinois anti-trafficking statutes; testified before IL Senate Judiciary Committee on benefits of state anti-trafficking legislation (2005); HB1469 passed and was signed into law 2005, effective January 2006.
