The Center for the Human Rights of Children is proud to partner with various community organizations, NGOs, and advocacy groups in efforts to fulfill its mission. The University of Victoria (in British Columbia, Canada)'s International Institute for Child Rights and Development has initiated an effort to promote standards for assessing the impact of programs and policies aimed at protecting the human rights of children around the world. Founding CHRC Director James Garbarino was invited to serve on the "Standards Board" and to present a keynote presentation at the Conference held in Whistler, British Columbia October 25, 2009. Loyola graduate student Edmund Bruyere also participated in the October 2009 conference.
