2014 Summer Faculty Fellowship
The Center for the Human Rights of Children is excited to share the news that Dr. Julia Pryce is being awarded a Children's Rights Fellowship of $10,000 for the summer of 2014.
One of the emerging issues in children's rights is the vulnerable status of orphan and vulnerable youth aging out of formal care in developing countries. The youth are often forced to begin the transition into adulthood without the proper knowledge to be successful. Research has shown, young people who have been placed in a formal care environment are more likely to experience poorer outcomes in their adult life.
The 2014 CHRC summer faculty fellowship award of $10,000 will support Dr. Pryce's leadership and ongoing research and work on this project, specifically support efforts during the summer 2014 months.
