ADMISSION TO THE CEREMONY
Guests should go directly to the Gentile Arena. Please do not accompany your graduate to the preparation area in the Rambler Room. There is ample seating in the Gentile Arena on a first come, first-served basis. Guests will not be permitted to find seats during the Faculty Processional at the start of the ceremony.
The College of Arts & Sciences and the School of Business require tickets for admission to the ceremonies. Be sure to arrange for this with your graduate, as you will not be admitted to either of those ceremonies without a ticket.
CELLULAR PHONES
In order to avoid disruptions, graduates and their guests are asked to please refrain from using cell phones during the Commencement ceremony.
Live Video-streaming of Commencement Ceremonies
Gentile Arena
Guests of the graduates should go directly to the Gentile Arena and should not accompany the graduate to the preparation area in the Halas Sports Center. There is ample seating in the Gentile Arena on a first come, first-served basis. Guests will not be permitted to find seats during the Faculty Processional at the start of the ceremony.
NO strollers are allowed in the Gentile Arena. Please leave them in your car. If you arrive with them, you will be asked to leave them outside the facility.
Mundelein Auditorium
1032 W. Sheridan Road
Guests of the graduates should go directly to the auditorium, located on the first floor of the Mundelein Center. Guests should not accompany the graduates to the check-in area. Seating inside the auditorium is on a first-come, first-served basis. Guests will not be permitted to find seats during the faculty processional at the start of the ceremony.
No strollers are allowed inside the auditorium. If you arrive with them, you will be asked to leave them outside the facility.
Guests with Disabilities
No advance arrangements need to be made. Once inside, guests should approach marshals about special seating for disabled or elderly. Only one companion may remain with the disabled person. Hearing impaired guests who desire a sign language interpreter should call (312) 915-7662 by April 24 to make arrangements.
Getting to Campus
Graduates and their guests are strongly encouraged to use public transportation whenever possible. Loyola is most easily accessible via the “El,” or elevated train. On the Red line, the Loyola stop drops you off directly across from campus, very close to the Gentile Arena.
Both the 147 and 151 buses also have many stops close to campus, including ones at Winthrop Avenue and directly across from campus at the Loyola “El” stop on the red line. Please visit http://www.transitchicago.com/ for additional public transportation information.
Parking
Parking is free, but extremely limited. Due to general city traffic and limited resources, please expect lengthy delays when arriving and departing campus. Loyola’s Campus Safety works closely with the Chicago Police Department to manage traffic during Commencement weekend. Please adhere to all instructions given by these officers as they strive to ensure the safety of all our graduates and their families.
Parking passes are issued to students for their guests attending the College of Arts & Science ceremonies and the School of Business Ceremony. Each graduate receives ONE parking pass for the main parking structure on the Lake Shore Campus. This pass will only admit ONE vehicle to the structure. Vehicles without parking passes WILL NOT be allowed access to the main parking structure.
Additional Parking Options – Thursday, Friday
Additional free parking is located in the Fordham Garage. This lot will fill quickly. Guests are welcome to visit the parking garage located at The Morgan, but rates apply in this facility. Please reference the map for these locations.

Loyola University Chicago partners with local hotels to arrange room blocks for guests attending Commencement weekend. Be sure to ask for the Loyola rate when contacting any of these establishments.
