Letter to Graduates
Congratulations, Class of 2012!
It is with great excitement that I welcome you to the Loyola University Chicago alumni community. As a Loyola graduate, you are automatically a member of a growing worldwide family of more than 140,000 alumni and friends.
As a young alum, I encourage you to stay connected to your alma mater through Alumni Relations' programming, events and resources. Here are the top five pieces of “insider information” for all new Loyola graduates:
Connect – Create lifelong connections with other alumni through the alumni online directory, regional clubs, special interest/affinity groups, and social and career networking.
Learn – Learn about yourself, your University and the world through Continuum, the Loyola Travel Program, and continuing education unit programs in the professional schools.
Serve – Serve Loyola and the community after graduation through the Jesuit National Day of Service, mentoring, and other service and social justice opportunities.
Resources –Loyola provides many resources for its graduates, including the alumni library card, career services, affinity products (insurance), and alumni merchandise.
Events – Participate in exciting events in Chicago and around the U.S. From athletic events (Ramblers, Cubs, Sox) to Homecoming Weekend (mark your calendar for October 12-14, 2012) and cultural events and speakers, we’ve got something for every interest.
Our offices are located in Lewis Towers on the 9th floor at the Water Tower Campus, and are open 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Feel free to stop by anytime! | Service is an important part of the Loyola experience that doesn't end at graduation. Alumni and friends give back through a variety of events, including the National Day of Service which takes place each April. | Alumni of all ages routinely have a blast at our popular events in Chicago and around the country related to Cubs and Sox baseball games. | Wherever you go, you can show your Rambler pride - once a student, forever an alum. |
