Eligibility to Participate in the Institute of Pastoral Studies School Commencement Ceremony
There is only one commencement ceremony per year. Students are eligible to participate in the May 2011 commencement ceremony if they:
- Received an M.A. or M.Div. degree in August 2010 and DID NOT participate in the May 2010 ceremony; or
- Received an M.A. or M.Div. in December 2010; or
- Completed all Master’s degree requirements by May 9, 2011 at 5:00 pm; or
- Have one remaining requirement for a master’s degree (e.g., one course and/or a project) and plan to complete this requirement during Summer 2011 (students in this category must have their Graduate Program Director confirm to the IPS Registrar by April 30th that the student will complete the requirement during Summer 2011.
- Students finishing their studies in the summer may participate in the May 2011 ceremony, but their degrees will be formally conferred as of August 2011 (after they have completed all degree requirements.)
The Institute of Pastoral Studies welcomes students who graduate during the 2010-2011 academic year (December 10, May 11, and August 11,) to attend the following event:

Wednesday, May 11, 2011 - 6:30pm - Kasbeer Hall
(Commissioning includes students, friends and family of academic year graduates, faculty, staff, alum and friends of IPS; preregistration through the IPS Office is required.)
Baccalaureate Mass
FRiday, May 13, 2011 – 12:30pm – Gentile Center
