Eligibility to Participate
Degree conferral is separate from participating in the Commencement ceremony. Degrees are conferred three times a year - January, May, and August.
Because there is only one Commencement ceremony per year, students are eligible to participate in the May 2013 Commencement ceremony if any of the following apply:
- They are completing their degree in fall 2012; spring or summer 2013* semester
*Students finishing their studies in the summer may participate in the May 2013 ceremony, but their degrees will be formally conferred as of August 2013, after they have completed all degree requirements.
