How Artists Around the World Picture the Nativity- Coming Soon to LUMA
Looking for some artistic engagement this holiday season? Take a trip to LUMA.
As All that Lies Behind Us, Cosmologies and Ten Thousand Ripples come to a close on November 3, Art and Faith of the Crèche: The Collection of James and Emilia Govan will take their place.
LUMA’s next exhibit will center on the story of Mary, Joseph and Jesus. It will focus on global perceptions of the Nativity by artists from countries like Armenia and Zimbabwe. Nativity scenes are illustrated with clothing, architecture and figures from around the globe. The exhibit will open Nov. 23. The opening reception will be held on Dec. 5 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Admission is free for faculty, staff and students, and $15 for the public.
