Loyola Neighborhood News: Retreat and Ecology Campus - V3, I1

On Sunday October 23rd, Loyola is hosting a Harvest Festival from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at its Retreat and Ecology Center.  The planning for the event has come together in an effort to celebrate the collaborative work that has take place to make LUREC a success this past year.  Members of community, alumni, students, staff, and faculty are invited to come to Harvest Festival to enjoy fall activities, meet new neighbors, and learn about LUREC.

Highlights include visits to the chicken coop, bee-hives, sustainable agriculture farm, and the wetland restoration.  There will also be children’s activities, a farmer’s market, food prepared by Chef Scott Commings, and live music.

Loyola’s Retreat and Ecology Center is located at 2710 S. Country Club Road.  To learn more about Harvest Festival and register, please visit LUC.edu/harvest.
