Getting to LSC
Once on campus, visitors to the Undergraduate Admission Office should go to:
Sullivan Center for Student Services, 6339 N. Sheridan Road, on the south end of campus.
Students and parents attending Discover Loyola, summer orientation, should check in at the Simpson Living Learning Center, 6333 N. Winthrop Ave.
Driving Directions
From O’Hare Airport:
Take I-190 East to Chicago. Merge onto I-90 East to Chicago. Take I-90 east to the Lawrence Avenue Exit. Take a left on Lawrence going east until you reach Sheridan Road. Turn left on Sheridan until you reach the campus entrance (approximately 2 miles). Follow campus road, through the first stop sign. Proceed straight into the parking structure (P-1 on your campus map). Once parked, follow the directional signs to the Sullivan Center for Student Services for Undergraduate Admission or other student services offices; to the Simpson Center for Discover Loyola check-in; or to other campus destinations.
From Midway Airport:
Take Cicero Avenue North until you reach I-55. Take the exit for I-55 North into downtown Chicago. Take the Lake Shore Drive exit; continue on Lake Shore Drive going north until you reach Sheridan Road where Lake Shore Drive ends. Turn right on Sheridan Road going north (about one mile) until you reach the campus entrance. Follow campus road, through the first stop sign. Proceed straight into the parking structure (P-1 on your campus map). Once parked, follow the directional signs to the Sullivan Center for Student Services for Undergraduate Admission or other student services offices; to the Simpson Center for Discover Loyola check-in; or to other campus destinations.
From I-80, I-55 and the Southwest:
Take Cicero Avenue North until you reach I-55. Take the exit for I-55 North into downtown Chicago. Take the Lake Shore Drive exit; continue on Lake Shore Drive going north until you reach Sheridan Road where Lake Shore Drive ends. Turn right on Sheridan Road going north (about one mile) until you reach the campus entrance. Follow campus road, through the first stop sign. Take I-88 East to Chicago. Take the exit for I-294 West north to Wisconsin. Take the exit for I-90 East to Chicago. Take I-90 east to the Lawrence Avenue Exit. Take a left on Lawrence going east until you reach Sheridan Road. Turn left on Sheridan. Continue north on Sheridan Road until you reach the campus entrance. From I-94 and the South/Southeast:
Please note that the southern section of the Dan Ryan Expressway (I-94) through the city will be under construction and will cause delays. Allow extra travel time, especially during morning and afternoon rush hour times. Please follow the detour signs and exit onto Stony Island Drive from the Chicago Skyway. Take the exit for I-55 North to Chicago/Lake Shore Drive. Take the Lake Shore Drive North exit; continue on Lake Shore Drive going north until you reach Sheridan Road where Lake Shore Drive ends. Turn right on Sheridan Road going north (approximately one mile) until you reach the campus entrance. Follow campus road, thru the first stop sign. Proceed straight into the parking structure (P-1 on your campus map). Once parked, follow the directional signs to the Sullivan Center for Student Services for Undergraduate Admission or other student services offices; to the Simpson Center for Discover Loyola check-in; or to other campus destinations.
From I-94 and the North:
Take I-94 East south to Chicago. Take the exit for Touhy Avenue East. To stay on Touhy, bear right once you cross Ridge Road, continue on Touhy Avenue until you reach Sheridan Road. Take a right on Sheridan Road. Take Sheridan Road until you reach Albion Avenue. Take a left on Albion. Take Albion for one long block until you reach Winthrop Avenue. Take a right on Winthrop Avenue; continue straight on the main campus drive until you reach the stop sign. Turn right at the stop sign and proceed directly into the parking structure (P-1 on your campus map). Once parked, follow the directional signs to the Sullivan Center for Student Services for Undergraduate Admission or other student services offices; to the Simpson Center for Discover Loyola check-in; or to other campus destinations.
Parking at the Lake Shore Campus
Visitor parking is available in our Parking Structure (P-1 on the map). Please proceed through and pull a parking ticket. Upon your departure, the visitor parking office will validate your parking ticket to exit the structure. Parking is also available in an admission parking lot located ½ block south of the intersection of Loyola and Winthrop Avenues.
For visitors to the Undergraduate Admission Office: You will need a gold-colored hanging tag for your car which will be mailed to you along with your visit confirmation or can be picked up at the Undergraduate Admission Office upon your arrival. Your vehicle MUST display this gold hanging tag or it will be towed at your own expense.
For Discover Loyola: All parents are to park in the Parking Structure (P-1), and you will be allowed to park overnight if you are staying on campus. No special permit is necessary.
Transportation from Airports & Union Station
From O'Hare Airport by the "El":
On the lower level of O'Hare, board the Blue Line/O'Hare-Congress train to downtown. At the Washington stop, change trains to the Red Line/Howard-Dan Ryan. This involves going down the stairs from the platform, walking through the tunnel and back up onto the Red Line's Washington stop. Look for the signs indicating "Northbound to Howard" and take the train to the Loyola stop. Cross Sheridan Road to enter campus. Fare is $2.00 per person.
From O'Hare Airport by Cab:
A cab from O'Hare Airport costs about $35.00 in normal traffic. Directions from O'Hare are above. To avoid heavy traffic, drivers may take various alternate routes.
From Midway Airport by the "El":
Exit Midway Airport and proceed across the footbridge spanning Cicero Avenue to the Orange Line's Midway station. Take the Orange Line train into downtown. At the State & Lake stop, change trains to the subway Red Line/Howard-Dan Ryan. Exit the platform and walk south on State Street to the subway entrance, descend stairs and board the "Northbound to Howard" platform. Take the train to the Loyola stop. Cross Sheridan Road to enter campus. Fare is $2.00 per person.
From Midway Airport by Cab:
A cab from Midway Airport costs about $37.00 in normal traffic. Directions from Midway Airport are above.
From Union Station by CTA Bus and the "El":
Exit Union Station onto Canal Street and Jackson Boulevard. Take either the 1, 7, 60, 126 or 151 CTA Bus eastbound to State Street. Be sure to purchase a transfer for when you move from the bus to the subway. Exit the bus on State and look for a subway entrance. Then, descend stairs and board the train on the "Northbound to Howard" platform. Take the train to the Loyola stop. Cross Sheridan Road to enter campus. Fare is $2.00 per person.
