The Independent Influences of Relational and Physical Victimization on Subsequent Physical Aggression in Middle School Children

Michelle completed her Master of Arts degree in the Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology in 2013.  Her master's thesis - "The Independent Influences of Relational and Physical Victimization on Subsequent Physical Aggression in Middle School Children" - examines the effects of being the victim of bullying on a youth's future aggression towards others.  In Fall 2013, Michelle will begin a PhD program in the interdisciplinary Department of Criminology, Law and Society at the University of California, Irvine.  UCI's Criminology, Law and Society department is consistently ranked 5th in the nation among doctoral degree-granting programs in criminology and criminal justice by US News and World Reports, and its faculty are ranked 5th in scholarly productivity according to the 2009 Faculty Scholarly Productivity Index.
