M.S. in Computer Science

Prerequisites:

Requirements for the MS in Computer Science:   

Required courses:

• COMP 417 -- Social, Ethical and Legal Issues in Computing
• COMP 460 -- Algorithms and Complexity

Restricted Electives Any two of the following three courses

• COMP 413 -- Intermediate Object-Oriented Development
• COMP 443 -- Computer Networks
• COMP 439 -- Distributed Systems

Any Six unrestricted elective courses from among

• 400 level courses with COMP and CSIS prefixes, and

• BIOL 470 -- Biostatistics and Experimental Design
• BIOL 488 -- Bioinformatics
• MATH 421 -- Mathematical Modeling, Simulation and Performance
• MATH 423 -- Combinatorics

Not more than six credits can be taken by students by way of COMP 490: Independent Project and COMP 499: Internship
