MS in Computer Science
New for Summer 2008
The MS in Computer Science provides foundations of Computer Science, while acknowledging that Computer Science is key to algorithms in the sciences. Other programs in the Computer Science Department with different foci are the MS in Software Technology and the MS in Information Technology.

3. Any Six unrestricted elective courses from among
• 400 level courses with COMP and CSIS prefixes, and
• BIOL 470: Biostatistics and Experimental Design
• BIOL 488: Bioinformatics
4. Not more than six credits can be taken by students by way of COMP 490: Programming Project and COMP 499: Independent Study.
