Dr. Honig earned his B.S. in Mathematics at the University of Michigan in 1969, his M.S. in Information Science from University of Chicago in 1971, and his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Northwestern University in 1975. He has applied this knowledge in the telecommunications industry for over 30 years in product planning, research and development, and marketing roles for leading North American and international companies. Key industry projects included voice and data switching systems, satellite communication, wireless telecommunications, and advanced networked applications. At Loyola in 2001 his research interests continue to be programming languages, data base management, telecommunications and new methods of teaching computer science.
