Zachary Romer has a M.S. in Computer Science from Loyola University Chicago. He performs research in the field of Bioinformatics with Dr. Catherine Putonti at Loyola, studying phage-bacteria co-evolution and metagenomics. He also collaborates with universities in Kenya with the aim of extending computer education to developing countries, having done a lecture series in partnership with Tracom College in Nakuru, Kenya. His research interests include computational biology, data mining, information theory and human-computer interaction.
