AP Calculus BC Workshop
July 7-11, 2014
Designed for the new BC Calculus teacher, this workshop will provide an overview of the topics included in the BC Calculus syllabus. Major AB topics will be covered briefly, but the emphasis will be on BC-only topics. Additional topics will include curriculum design and methods of instruction, expectations and grading for the AP exam, technology, and additional resources. Appropriate activities and teaching methods will be modeled, and participants are expected to be actively involved in the mathematics during the week. The instructor will use a TI-83/84 calculator during the workshop, and support for the TI-89 will be given as needed. Computer software will also be used for demonstrations and graphics. Maximum capacity 25. (Monday-Thursday, 8:30 am - 4:15 pm and Friday, 8:30 am - 1:00 pm)
